Glendale Knits (& Crochets) Sept 25th

Come join us for our second meetup! Free Admission, 1 drink (soda or liquor) minimum to help support the bar. Prizes to be won and a free demo of working with circle looms. Bring your own looms or try one of ours. Bring the project you're working on and see what others are making. Its a great way to get inspiration and to have an excuse to Knit or Crochet.

September Sales Announced!

Today is the first Day of Sept. To many this means summer is just about over. All it means to me is cooler weather so I can Knit & Crochet comfortably. I don't know about you, but I hate air conditioning. I feel like this thing has been running non stop for months.
So come in, check out all the new products for Fall, check out our new layout and take advantage of these sale items.

Upcoming Crafty Events in Queens

Saturday Aug 27th we may close early due to the storm so please call before you come out.

Sunday Sept 18th is the American Legion Craft Fair Fund Raiser. We have rented a table there for their last 3 events and its always been fun. They still have a few tables left if you thing you want to sell your handmade wears.
Sunday Sept 25th will be another meeting of Glendale Knits (& Crochets)

Holiday Craft Fair

Its that time again to sign up for a table at the American Legion Holiday Craft Fair. Bring out your best hand made items for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Chanukah, Christmas & New Years.  Below is a flyer and sign up form. Please help us spread the word. You can print out and post in a local business or bulletin board. Please don't post them on outdoor public posts, we will get a fine.

Class Photos

I just thought I would share with all of you some photos taken at some of our recent classes. Knitting seems to be the most popular right now but Crochet is catching up.
One on One 2 1/2 hour Beginner classes are now only $25 each which includes Yarn, Needles and instruction manual. Step 2 or 3 classes are only $15 per hour. Most planned projects will only take you an hour. Call or Email us for more information and to make a reservation.

Jamie is Back!

The classic Jamie Baby weight yarn is being re-distributed. I'm sure the dye-lots and texture won't match what you have at home but I've had so many people ask about it, I'm glad they've decided to bring it back.

August Sales

A little late this Month. If you haven't been in the shop lately, we've done a bit of remodeling. Some expansions and moving things around plus a new coat of paint. We are still making small changes until it feels perfect but we're open and ready for business & classes. We hope to see you soon.

Summer Renovations

Don't worry, we are not closing! We are making some cosmetic changes to the shoppe. We have basically looked the same for the last 30+ years. We now have some new racks so we will be moving things around a bit. We hope when we're finished it will be easier for people to find things and a bit easier to move around.
Starting this week until July 10th we will be renovating, but I stress, we will remain OPEN during this time. Items may be in boxes as we move them around so we ask for your patience when you come in while we find the item you need. We will continue to order stock and can still custom order anything you like. The only thing that we will not be holding during this time, is our classes. Classes will resume July 11th so please make your reservations now.
Thank you again for your patronage over the years, and please stop by and see how the place looks when we're done.

Still time to make a gift for Dad or Grandpa

There is still time to make Dad or Grandpa a gift for Sunday. As previously mentioned you can make him a photo frame tie, click here for pattern. Or here are some other ideas that are in stock right now!
Design your own water globe or mug. The pre-printed inserts can be colored in by little ones or older kids can draw their own designs and add a picture. These can also be decorated on the outside to add some personalization.

We also have Ceramic Mugs and markers that can be decorated. The markers are great for decorating glass or ceramic but do require a clear sealer if you want your design to be permanent.
